This document explains how to set up a computer
with Mac OS X for use with CNSP.
Step 1: Open System Preferences
1. Click on the System Preferences Icon at the bottom of the screen.

2. In the System Preferences window, click on Network.

Step 2: Configure TCP/IP
1. Pull down the first Configure menu near the top of the screen,
and select Modem Port.
2. Make sure that the TCP/IP tab is selected.
3. Pull down the Configure menu in the TCP/IP window and select
Using PPP.
4. In the Domain Name Servers box, make sure both lines are
blank.
5. Click on the Save button.
Step 3: Configure PPP
1. Click on the PPP tab (next to TCP/IP).

2. Beside Service Provider, type CNSP
3. Beside Telephone Number, enter the appropriate phone number.
4. Beside Account Name, type in your CNSP user name.
5. Beside Password, type in your CNSP password.
6. Click on the Save button.
Step 4: Connecting to CNSP
1. To connect to CNSP, double-click on your Hard Drive at the
upper right of your desktop. Double click on Applications,
then double-click on Internet Connect.
When the Modem Port window appears, click on the Connect button.
2. To disconnect, click on the Disconnect button. |
